Course Objective: to strengthen the capacity of national statistical offices in implementing the recommendations of 2008 SNA and reviewing the current compilation practices for improving the quality and coverage of national accounts statistics of the respective countries.

The course is also aimed at enhancing the capacity of government statistical services of participating countries in producing timely national accounts statistics which fully meets the user needs as well as complies with the international standards.

Target participants: senior- or middle-level government statisticians who have sufficient experience of compiling national accounts. These include officials directing or actually compiling national accounts or regional (sub-national) accounts and would benefit from getting a better understanding of the concepts of the 2008 SNA.
