This training course is aimed at strengthening the technical capacity of statistical producers to apply relevant international comparable methods and standards in the compilation of agricultural cost of production statistics. The regional training course aims to build the capacity of statistical producing institutions in RAP’s priority countries and to train their statisticians to compile high quality and internationally comparable agricultural cost of production statistics
This e-Learning course introduces participants to the principles, systems and processes involved in the production of official statistics, both nation-ally and internationally. The focus of the course in on the big ideas that underpin official statisticians’ work, rather than on statistical theory and methods.
In collaboration with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) The objective of the course is to strengthen capacity to produce SDG indicators and relevant economic, social, and environment statistics that facilitate the analysis of disparities and monitoring of impacts of inclu-sive development policies and programs.

The course will be divided into two parts: a self-paced online module and a face-to-face module. Completion of both the online and face-to-face modules will be required to obtain a training certificate. This regional course aims to provide a platform for demonstrating good practices and exchanging experiences in dealing with challenges and issues in the development, maintenance and use of statistical business registers (SBRs).
The workshop will provide an opportunity to participants to learn basic concepts and frameworks for the quality of statistics through hands-on sessions, with the overall aim of enhancing the capacity to produce a set of statistics including indicators, to track and monitor Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Statistical Leadership Training aims to Develop and enhance the leadership skills of new heads of NSOs toward effective leadership of statistical offices and the national statistical system ; to Improve confidence of heads of NSOs as statistical leaders in their national statistical system and Share learning of experiences and practices in leading and managing their statistical offices and in their leadership role in the national statistical system
The course provided a strong foundation for the practical understanding and application of the theory of price indices, techniques for price index construction and compilation. It is designed for mid-to-senior level price statisticians and similar level statisticians in charge of designing, data collection, processing and dissemination of price data collections.
The course provided a strong foundation for the practical understanding and application of the 2008 System of National Accounts methods for specific topics. The objectives of the training program are (i) rationalize data sources for economic statistics and understand the inter-linkages between the various data collections and compilations (ii) plan for effective economic census questionnaires and tabulation plans and (iii) plan for the use of economic census results for other economic data collections and in the compilation of national accounts.
The course to enhance capability of the national machinery to disseminate the perspective of gender mainstreaming and gender equality in the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of policies and plans in various field was held from 23 to 24 January in collaboration with JICA. Ten Government officers engaged in planning, implementation and/or evaluation of the gender equality or gender mainstreaming in the National Machinery (Central policy coordination unit for the advancement of gender equality inside the government)
This regional course objective provided a platform for demonstrating best practices and exchanging experiences in dealing with challenges and issues in the maintenance, use and improvement of statistical business registers (SBRs).
This Seminar objective was sharing experiences and finding challenges for statistical capacity building for development of production and dissemination of official statistics with new data sources.
The purpose of the seminar was to identify specific actions required by the governments in the region and by international organizations to empower and strengthen National Statistical Systems for developing the capability to track progress toward SDGs by compilation and coordination of SDG global, regional and national indicators.
