Third Intermediate-Level e-Learning Course on System of National Accounts (2008 SNA)

Fifty-five statisticians from Afghanistan, Fiji, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Laos, Macao-China, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Philippines, Samoa, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Vietnam are participating in the third intermediate level e-learning course on National Accounts focusing on SNA 2008. The nine-week online course is being conducted by SIAP in collaboration with the Australia Bureau of Statistics.

Participants in this course are actively involved in the compilation of national accounts in their respective countries and are well versed in the basics of SNA 2008. This course builds on the introductory SNA 2008 e-learning course, and takes a practical approach in the delivery of its ten lessons through a combination of online tests, assignments, discussion forum and a final exam. Some of the topics covered include SNA 2008 accounts, price and volume measures, expenditure components of GDP, major changes in SNA 2008 amongst others.
