Fifth Intermediate-Level e-Learning Course on System of National Accounts (2008 SNA): Integrated Transaction Accounts

The Fifth Intermediate-Level e-Learning Course on System of National Accounts (2008 SNA): Integrated Transaction Accounts will be conducted by the Statistical Institute for Asia and the Pacific (SIAP), a regional institution of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) from 1 April – 7 May 2015.
The five-week e-learning course aims to provide an overview of the main changes in the SNA 2008 relative to the SNA 1993 and their effects, demonstrate methods and techniques for compiling transactional accounts in the SNA 2008, and explain use of volume measures in national accounts.
The target participants of the course are junior and middle level government statisticians who are well versed in basic concepts of the SNA at levels of the basic e-learning course on SNA conducted by SIAP. Approximately 90 participants from Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong (China), India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Macao (China), Micronesia (Federated States of), Mongolia, Malaysia, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Viet Nam are expected to participate in the course.
