Upcoming e-learning course on SEEA Ecosystem Accounting

2 October-17 November 2023,  e-Learning course

Sokol Vako, Statistician/Lecturer

SIAP and UNSD are jointly hosting an e-learning course on SEEA Ecosystem Accounting, the latest international statistical standard adopted by the UN Statistical Commission, which provides the agreed upon methodology for compiling information on ecosystems. The modules of the course will be available in English, French and Spanish. All other course activities will take place in English. The course is free of charge and open to all. Please note that a virtual course on ecosystem accounting was last held in April 2022; participants from the 2022 course are most welcome to join the 2023 course as a review of the topic. The SEEA EA framework takes a spatial approach to organizing information on ecosystems. It supports the compilation of indicators for several global policy frameworks including the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and related SDG indicators and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. The course is free and open to all; those interested should register at the following link by 28 September. https://forms.office.com/e/cZQzDmrb7h
