Research-based Training Programme (RbTP)

The duration of the RbTP programme is three months and is designed to meet specific needs of participants and their nominating NSOs.

  • The programme consists of three phases.

       Phase I:

    The duration of this phase is two months and designed to provide participants with technical knowledge and skills in their field of research. The programme is conducted in collaboration with nominating NSOs, which would assign a qualified senior staff as a training coordinator. The training progamme is conducted online utilizing available modern technology for distance training, e-mail etc. The participants are expected to produce results of their work and submit to SIAP as a draft report.

      Phase II:

    A one-week course is conducted at SIAP for selected participants with best-completed draft reports. Each participant accepted into the Phase II study is expected to work towards further improvement of their research study under the guidance of SIAP faculty members.

      Phase III:

    At the end of this training period, the participants attended Phase II are expected to finalize their research work within a month under the guidance of SIAP faculty members and produce a final report suitable for publication by SIAP.
    Note: The Institute provides recommendations for participants, who demonstrated an outstanding performance during their study at all three phases of this programme for study at the Graduate School of the Tokyo International University in Japan.
