SIAP and UNSD, in collaboration with the Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA) organize SEEA workshop

UNSD and SIAP, in collaboration with the Philippines Statistical Authority (PSA), organized an in-person regional workshop on SEEA Ecosystem Accounting in Manila, the Philippines. The workshop provided an opportunity for over 50 participants from 13 countries to increase their technical knowledge of SEEA EA, the recently adopted international statistical standard. Through exercises, country examples and discussions, participants learned more about ecosystem extent, condition, and services accounts. Discussions were also held around the policy relevance of ecosystem accounts and how SEEA EA can support measuring progress towards achieving the targets of national policies and international agreements including the Sustainable Development Goals, the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework and the Paris Agreement.
