Webinar series on the 2025 System of National Accounts (2025 SNA) Implementation

Objectives

The strategy for implementing the 2025 SNA and BPM7 emphasizes the significance of regional organizations in supporting with the implementation. It also highlights the importance of opportunities at the regional level for countries to share implementation plans and identify support that can be provided at this level. 

The webinar series targets statisticians with knowledge and experience in the collection, compilation, and dissemination of national accounts statistics. Specifically, it will serve as a regional platform for knowledge exchange across Asia and the Pacific:  

- Enabling national statistical organizations to share their approaches to transitioning to the 2025 SNA, particularly o SNA implementation strategy/plan to be undertaken

  • Compilation issues encountered 
  • Data sources used 
  • Conceptual, methodological, and practical changes adopted 
  • Preliminary estimates, if any 
  • Communication strategy to be employed 

- Providing a venue for the international community to outline how it will support the SNA implementation in Asia and the Pacific
